The Chicago Bears have been a plucky team during the 2023 NFL season and looked well on their way to adding another victory in Week 15 as they had a second-half lead on the Cleveland Browns.
After a slow first half, the Bears scored 10 points in the third quarter and just needed to hold off the Browns for one more quarter.
However, Joe Flacco and company were able to comeback late with 13 unanswered points of their own to steal the win and leave the Chicago faithful reeling after a tough loss.
Justin Fields actually had a chance to win the game on the final drive as he threw up a Hail Mary pass in the end zone.
There was a crowd of people waiting for the football and for a moment it looked like wide receiver Darnell Mooney held onto it for the score.
However, Mooney was unable to keep possession and the football wound up in the hands of a Browns defender via NFL.

In the video, Fields throws up a near-perfect pass for a jump-ball situation and it gets tipped right into Mooney’s arms as he falls to the ground.
Mooney tries to frantically hold onto the ball, but it comes out at the last second and is scooped up by Cleveland who immediately knelt down to end the game.
It’s a brutal outcome for a Bears team that clawed their way the entire afternoon, though it wasn’t for a lack of effort.
Chicago is fighting to keep premium draft positioning, but this sort of loss will sting for a bit.
