The Buffalo Bills just had one of their biggest wins of the season, and it wasn’t even close.
Most of the time, that would mean that Josh Allen had a great game, but this wasn’t like most of the time.
Instead, it was RB James Cook who stole most of the headlines, crushing the Dallas Cowboys’ defense en route to a 31-10 win.
That’s why, following the game, Allen jokingly said that he was just like that one kid who didn’t do anything in the group project and still got an A, per the Bills’ YouTube channel.
Then again, he also said that he would do that ten times out of ten if that’s what it took to win, praising the team for the big effort.
Cook was at his best from start to finish, rushing for 179 yards and one touchdown on 25 carries, averaging a whopping 7.2 yards per carry.
He also secured two of his three targets for 42 yards and another touchdown.
Notably, Allen completed just seven of 15 passes for 94 yards and one score, with Stefon Diggs being the only receiver to get at least one reception, followed by Cook and RB Ty Johnson.
Joe Brady has made it a point of emphasis to establish the running game since taking over as offensive coordinator, and that has helped this offense get to a whole new level.
Needless to say, most games won’t look like that, but it’s nice to see that Allen won’t mind taking a step back if that’s what it takes to get the job done.
