Contract Details and Role
Offensive lineman Danny Pinter has agreed on a one-year contract extension that can reach up to $1.667 million. The deal features a base salary of $1.5 million, which includes $582,500 fully guaranteed, and is enhanced by $750,000 in additional guarantees along with a $167,500 signing bonus. Entering his sixth season with the team, Pinter is prepared to serve as the backup center behind the new starter.
A Life in Indiana and Professional Journey
A native of South Bend, Indiana, Pinter’s journey has been deeply rooted in the state. He showcased his talents as a left tackle at Ball State before being drafted by the team in 2019. Throughout his professional career, he has started nine games, mostly stepping in at the center position, a role that now positions him to contribute significantly as a reliable backup.
Offseason Dynamics and Roster Adjustments
The team has engaged in several roster moves this offseason by finalizing key signings and reworking contracts to bolster its lineup. Additional deals have been completed for players at various positions, and a renegotiated arrangement has been secured with a veteran right tackle, alongside an extension for a pending free agent. With cap room largely allocated and a focus on fine-tuning the roster, the team appears set to add a few more players to fill remaining gaps before camp begins.
