There were plenty of theories among NFL fans regarding Lamar Jackson and his contract situation.
The fact that multiple teams openly admitted that they weren’t interested in his services was just odd.
An MVP still in his prime suddenly becoming available with so many QB-needy teams and no takers?
Even some of his colleagues believed it was some sort of coalition to take down the QB market.
Fast forward to today, and Jackson has been spectacular since signing that huge contract extension.
With that in mind, NFL insider Josina Anderson wondered how those teams that weren’t interested in Jackson are doing right now.
PAUSE:
Where are the teams that said they weren’t interested in @Lj_era8 the same day the non-exclusive tag was placed on him? The teams who said it wasn’t worth changing their offense for him. Are they in the playoffs? Above 500? Still searching for a QB?

She mocked teams for believing he wasn’t worth changing their offense for him, as most of them are not in the playoffs, not above .500, and don’t even have a QB.
Jackson, on the other hand, has led the Ravens to an 11-3 record (8-1 since Week 6), the team is the first seed in the AFC, and he is an MVP candidate and is currently No. 1 in rushing yards among QBs (741), No. 2 in TD/INT ratio under pressure, and No. 3 in YPA under pressure.
It’s hard to understand what those teams were thinking.
From a football standpoint, not many guys in the league are capable of doing what Jackson does.
And while his revamped supporting cast and Todd Monken’s offense have also done a lot to help, there’s just no way to take anything away from him, what he’s accomplished, and how much he’s improved since he entered the league.
