The Cincinnati Bengals are 3-1 since Joe Burrow fell with a season-ending injury.
Jake Browning has been quite solid, completing over 73% of his passes for 1,248 yards and seven passing touchdowns against three interceptions, and one can only wonder whether they would be better off starting him at the beginning of the season when Burrow was dealing with a calf injury.
Whatever the case, Burrow’s season-ending injury wasn’t the end of Cincinnati as most people predicted.
With that in mind, NFL Network’s James Palmer wanted to give HC Zac Taylor his flowers for not panicking and uplifting his team through adversity, both at the beginning of the season and now.
Discussing head coaches that are pulling their teams through adversity and I have to mention Zac Taylor and what he’s doing with the #benglas.
To see who @wyche89 and @MikeGarafolo went with, whatch a replay of the show now!

It’s been a tough season in Cincinnati, yet the team is still right in the mix to get a playoff spot, and that has plenty to do with coaching.
We’ve gotten so caught up with Kevin Stefanski and how he’s coached four different quarterbacks to win games this season, and rightfully so.
But the Bengals are also beating the odds and proving that they’re more than just a one-man show.
Taylor was severely criticized earlier in his coaching career, and he’s made great strides ever since, improving as much as his team, and being one of the main people responsible behind their culture turnaround.
Of course, the Bengals’ ceiling is significantly lower sans Burrow, but the sole fact that they’re still in strong contention for a postseason berth despite everything they’ve been through this season speaks volumes of Taylor’s work in charge of the team.
