Liranzo’s Early Performance
At 21, catcher Thayron Liranzo has shown flashes of power despite limited exposure at the plate. In a brief spring session encompassing 19 at bats, he recorded a notable home run to center field along with six RBIs on just three hits. Although his current numbers indicate significant room for improvement, his raw strength and potential have positioned him as a pivotal figure in the team’s future, earning him the No. 5 ranking among the organization’s top prospects.
Lee’s Offensive Challenges
Infielder Hao-Yu Lee, aged 22, has accumulated substantial playing experience, including 87 games in Double-A. Known for his consistent performance at various levels, Lee encountered difficulties in spring training, posting a batting line that clearly highlighted the need for further adjustments at the plate. His brief stint in Lakeland underscored that perfecting his approach remains a work in progress, even as he explores options at third base.
