The Philadelphia Eagles are officially reeling as they’ve dropped three consecutive games, with their most recent loss coming at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks.
The Seahawks were without Geno Smith who has been dealing with a groin injury, so head coach Pete Carroll was forced to use Drew Lock who had himself his best professional game.
Meanwhile, the Eagles were at near full strength, though Jalen Hurts came into the evening as questionable after getting sicker over the weekend.
Philadelphia needed to win out the remainder of the 2023 NFL season schedule to hold onto the No. 1 seed but now have fallen down the standings after losing to Seattle.
This version of the Eagles hasn’t been anything close to the 2022 iteration, and it feels like they’re unraveling at the worst possible time.
However, people like Jerry Jones are relishing the fact that a rival is struggling this much and he took extra delight in the Eagles’ loss to the Seahawks via ESPN.
“It was marvelous,” Jones said. “I watched every bit of it.”

Although the Dallas Cowboys also suffered a loss in Week 15, they’ve still been playing better football than Philadelphia and have a real chance to win the NFC East crown.
Jones has had to watch the Eagles win playoff games and even a Super Bowl in recent years, so he’s obviously going to like seeing one of his rivals implode.
Philadelphia still has time to turn things around before the playoffs, but their play as of late doesn’t inspire much confidence that they can gel together and get back to winning.
