The Atlanta Falcons entered the season with a lot of questions.
This team has significantly invested in their offense, particularly with their skill-position players.
Kyle Pitts, Drake London, and Bijan Robinson have been the team’s first-round draft picks over the past three years.
Fans and analysts wondered if this team would finally be able to make a massive impact on this side of the ball despite not having a solid quarterback.
While the Falcons are still in the hunt to win the NFC South, it doesn’t appear they are satisfied with their quarterback situation.
Desmond Ridder has been benched for Taylor Heinicke, seemingly ending a future chance for him to win the role back.
When looking at the team’s current situation and what they could look like moving forward, Benjamin Allbright suggested Justin Fields could be a potential target in the offseason.
My gut says if Arthur Smith is kept, and I lean he is…that Justin Fields will be a target for the Falcons. https://t.co/iyZzVc5Xbb

The Chicago Bears drafted Fields to make him their franchise star, but attitudes have soured on him within the organization.
They will likely miss the playoffs again this year, potentially causing the Bears to look elsewhere at the position.
Allbright believes the Falcons would be an excellent destination for Fields if the Bears are willing to part with him.
This offense is ready for a player like Fields, someone who can take off on the run and pass efficiently when given time.
A deal of this magnitude would be mutually beneficial for both teams.
The Bears could start over at quarterback, assuming the Falcons are willing to give up a draft pick.
The Falcons would also have a chance to start over at the position, but at least they know the commodity they would receive in the deal.
