The New York Jets have been through it all this season.
They can’t seem to catch a break at the quarterback position, and now that they’re not even playing for a postseason spot, they have no reason to risk further injury.
Still, Zach Wilson is well aware of the fact that he is playing for his next job, so not having another week to audition and prove that he could be a QB in the National Football League is terrible news for him.
Unfortunately, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that he remains under the league’s concussion protocol, so his status for Sunday’s clash vs. the Washington Commanders is still up in the air.
Jets’ QB Zach Wilson remains in concussion protocol.

The league has dealt with concussions way more seriously since the Tua Tagovailoa scandal from last season, and no player has been able to clear the protocol in under a week this season, so it wouldn’t be shocking to see Wilson being forced to sit this one out.
That would leave Robert Saleh back with Tim Boyle and Trevor Siemian.
Needless to say, that’s far from an ideal setting, but with the season already gone down the drain, the Jets shouldn’t have many of their starters on the field for the remainder of the season anyways.
