Heading into the 2023 NFL regular season, the AFC South division was thought to be one of the worst divisions in the NFL, with only the Jacksonville Jaguars being a team that would be a force to be reckoned with out of the four teams in the division.
However, that hasn’t been the case, with three out of the four teams in the AFC South sitting at 8-6 on the season coming into Week 16.
The Tennessee Titans are the only team in the division that couldn’t cut it this season, with the team currently 5-9 and the only squad in the division to have already been eliminated from playoff contention.
In Week 16, the Houston Texans, who are the most surprising team in the division this season, got some good news ahead of their matchup against the Cleveland Browns, with wide receiver Nico Collins announcing that he’ll be ready for Sunday’s game, via Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston.

Collins is having a career year this season with the Texans, as he’s significantly benefited from developing some much-needed chemistry with rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud throughout the 2023 NFL season.
In 12 games played, Collins has racked up 1,004 yards and six touchdowns on 60 receptions, which are career-high numbers in all three categories.
Collins getting back on the field for the Texans will be a step in the right direction for Houston as the team continues to contend for a playoff spot in the AFC.
Unfortunately, Stroud remains in concussion protocol as of Thursday and is considered questionable for Sunday’s game against the Browns.
