With the MLB offseason in full swing, everyone wants to see where some of the top free agents will end up.
The biggest free agent is already off the board in Shohei Ohtani, but many other great players need contracts.
One of those players has never played a game in MLB.
That is Japanese pitching star Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
He is 25 years old and one of the most hyped Japanese prospects in recent memory.
But, there seems to be no clear idea as to where he might sign.
One team that has plenty of interest and money to spend is the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Even though they just signed Ohtani, they still have enough money available for Yamamoto.
There were even some reports surfacing that Yamamoto and Ohtani were going to the Los Angeles Rams game together on Thursday.
According to Jon Heyman, that rumor is false.
Yamamoto is not planning to go with Ohtani to the Rams game tonight. That’s a rumor that’s false.

Ohtani and Yamamoto both being from Japan could give the Dodgers an edge.
Yamamoto might want to sign with a team where there is a fellow Japanese player who can help him acclimate to America.
Another team that should not be counted out because of that reason is the New York Mets.
They have Kodai Senga, who signed over from Japan last season, along with plenty of money to spend.
Most Japanese players have no problem transferring their game from Japan to MLB.
Whichever team wins the Yamamoto sweepstakes should be thrilled with signing a potential ace.
