Are the Miami Dolphins real or simply a mirage this season?
They hold a 10-4 record, which has them tied for the second-best record in the NFL, but they haven’t beaten a single team that is currently over .500.
On the other hand, the Dolphins are the best offensive team in the league, as they rank first in points, total yards, and rushing touchdowns.
A big reason for that excellence is the play of running back Raheem Mostert, who leads everyone with 18 rushing touchdowns.
Omar Kelly noted that Mostert missed practice on Thursday for the second straight day, but he is 34 yards away from reaching 1,000 rushing yards for the first time, and the running back feels reaching that mark would be special.
According to the injury report, Raheem Mostert didn’t practice for a second straight day because of his injuries. We thought he practiced cause he was out there.
No doubt Mostert is playing on Sunday cause he’s 34 yards shy of his first 1K rushing season. pic.twitter.com/sVFmQg2u5d

Mostert has been thought of as a nice option in the backfield over the last few years, but he has never been thought of as a potential Pro Bowl nominee.
He spent five seasons and change from 2016 to 2021 with the San Francisco 49ers, where he was part of a running back by committee crew for one of the most run-heavy teams in the NFL.
But this season in Miami, he has been a main weapon, and he has responded with a career-best effort.
The Dolphins have a big game this Sunday versus the Dallas Cowboys, and it will be an opportunity for them to prove that they’re as good as their record suggests by getting a convincing win.
A week later, they will have a road contest against the Baltimore Ravens, who have the best record in the AFC, presenting them with another stiff test that will also be an immense opportunity.
