The Miami Dolphins and Dallas Cowboys both desperately need a win on Sunday.
Unfortunately, just one of them can win, and getting a tie won’t do either of these teams any favors.
That’s why NFL legend Shannon Sharpe urged both Dak Prescott and Tua Tagovailoa to show up and show what they’re made of.
In the latest edition of ESPN’s “First Take,” Sharpe stated that even though the Cowboys have beaten the Philadelphia Eagles, no one seems to be too impressed by their record, as they’ve mostly beaten subpar teams on their way to that 10-4 mark.
“Both of those guys need to show that they can win against tough competition.”

As for the Dolphins, the legendary tight end also pointed out that they have struggled to get anything going when they’ve had to play a team with a winning record.
Simply put, these teams need to prove that they’re contenders, not just pretenders, and that will most likely hang on the quarterbacks’ shoulders.
Sharpe also pointed out the fact that he’d rather have Prescott than Tua right now, mostly because the latter has 15 turnovers compared to Prescott’s eight.
At the end of the day, both players have had spectacular campaigns and could have a legitimate case for MVP.
But context also matters, and it’s not just about putting up numbers, but about rising up to the occasion and uplifting your team when it matters the most.
This final stretch will be brutal for both teams, but the silver lining is that their QBs will get plenty of chances to prove themselves once and for all.
