The Dallas Cowboys face a pivotal challenge in Week 16 against the Miami Dolphins.
Not only would a win help the Cowboys’ chances to take the NFC East and secure a home playoff game, but it would also help change the narrative around a team that’s been bad on the road lately and whose defense hasn’t looked nearly as good in recent weeks.
So between the offense that couldn’t score in Week 15 and the defense that couldn’t stop the Buffalo Bills, Fox Sports analyst Joy Taylor said she believes more pressure will be on the defense to perform than the offense.
“[The pressure’s] on the defense,” Taylor said. “… They have to get back on track this week defensively.”

The defense has allowed more rushing yards, more rushing touchdowns, more passing touchdowns, and forced fewer interceptions on the road than at home this season.
So when the team heads to Miami to face the Dolphins, all eyes will be on if the Cowboys’s defense can live up to it’s early-season reputation as one of the best in the NFL.
They’ll face the NFL’s No. 1 offense as well with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, running back Raheem Mostert, and wideouts Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.
That’s a lot of firepower to contend with, and the Dolphins’ offense has been much better at home than on the road.
The other side of the coin for Dallas is the offense, which will also need to play at its best to compete with the high-flying Dolphins’ offensive attack.
Whatever happens, though, could have major implications on the AFC and NFC playoff seedings.
