The New York Giants have made a decision about Tommy DeVito.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, DeVito will head back to the bench in Week 17, with Tyrod Taylor taking the reins of the offense again.
Needless to say, the fans had plenty to say about this decision, as DeVito had become a fan favorite.
The #Giants are starting QB Tyrod Taylor on Sunday, coach Brian Daboll tells reporters, sending QB Tommy DeVito to the bench.

I wonder if he will go back to the minimum appearance cost at that restaurant

But why? Tyrod is 49 years old and we’re not making the playoffs. Just let devito finish the season so we know if he’s the one for next year

That’s what playing the Eagles do to you, get benched

The undrafted free agent had led the Giants to three consecutive wins and was playing very good football, up to the point where people wondered whether he could stay there past this season.
With Daniel Jones set to miss at least the first half of the upcoming campaign, the door was wide open for DeVito to get a hold of the job for a little longer.
Then again, it seems like HC Brian Daboll didn’t like what he saw from him vs. the Philadelphia Eagles, as he benched him during the game and has now decided to roll back with the veteran Taylor.
The Giants have had a tough season and they could have a high first-round pick, so others speculate that they could use that first-round pick to get their next franchise QB.
Daniel Jones was one of the most disappointing players in the league when healthy, and considering the fact that they can move on from him after the second year of his huge contract extension, it would make sense for them to either go in a different direction with a rookie or keep Taylor as a stopgap while Jones works his way back to the field.
