The Las Vegas Raiders may not make the playoffs, but that doesn’t mean they’ve given up on the season.
Antonio Pierce’s squad keeps making moves, this time revamping the TE room with a veteran addition.
According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the Raiders have officially signed Zach Gentry off the Cincinnati Bengals’ practice squad.

Gentry entered the league in 2019 as a fifth-round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Michigan product played through his entire rookie deal with Mike Tomlin’s team and opted to return for another season.
However, he was waived in the preseason and spent the entire campaign on Zac Taylor’s team, just on the practice squad.
He made 17 appearances for the Steelers last season, catching 19 passes for 132 yards and no scores, sitting behind Pat Freiermuth on the depth chart.
The Raiders are quite banged up at the TE position, with both Michael Mayer and Jesper Horsted questionable for the upcoming matchup, leaving Austin Hooper as the only truly healthy player there, so it makes sense to keep a veteran like Gentry around.
This team is looking to finish the season on a high note after their well-documented struggles under Josh McDaniels.
And with Pierce auditioning to get the full-time job, he knows he can’t leave anything to chance in the final stretch of the campaign to continue making the great impression he’s made thus far.
