The Las Vegas Raiders looked like a mess at the beginning of the season.
But ever since Antonio Pierce took over, the players feel like they have a chance to compete.
Of course, it hasn’t always been pretty, and that scoreless game vs. the Minnesota Vikings will be hard to forget.
But for the most part, Pierce has given this team a new look, and a new feel, and it just seems like the players have bought in.
That’s why former NFL QB Dan Orlovsky made sure to give Pierce his flowers, stating that this league is about results, meritocracy, and opportunity, and lauding him for the job he’s done (via NFL on ESPN).

Orlovksy claimed that Pierce should be the next head coach of the Raiders, and it’s hard to argue with that statement.
All players would run through a wall for Pierce and vice versa, and looking at what Dan Campbell achieved with the Detroit Lions, they would be wise to test out his formula in Sin City.
This Raiders core has already proven what they’re capable of when they’re motivated, as they went through the very same thing when Jon Gruden resigned and was replaced by Rich Bisaccia.
Unfortunately, Bisaccia didn’t even get the chance to keep building from that momentum and the Raiders didn’t consider him as HC material, and they cannot afford to make the same mistake with Pierce.
It’s about time the Raiders get things right and turn their culture around.
