The Toronto Blue Jays need to start playing better if they want to make the playoffs.
The AL East race is out of the question but they currently are holding a slim lead on the second Wild Card spot.
But, the Houston Astros and Seattle Mariners are closing quickly waiting for the Blue Jays to slip up.
Well, it appears that time is now because Toronto has gone ice-cold offensively in the last two games.
According to FOX Sports: MLB, the Blue Jays have been shut out in their last two games against the New York Yankees.
They now only have a 0.5-game lead over the Astros and a two-game lead over the Mariners in the Wild Card standings.

Missing the playoffs is not an option for the Blue Jays.
They have too much talent on their roster to not be playing in the postseason.
The Blue Jays have four games left in the regular season.
One against the Yankees on Thursday and a three-game series with the Tampa Bay Rays.
None of those games will be easy for the Jays.
But, they do control their destiny and need to win at least two of the last four.
Doing so will mean the Mariners need to sweep their final series with the Texas Rangers.
The Blue Jays have not gotten the offensive production from some of their key players.
Yet, all you need to do is get into the postseason and anything can happen.
This final weekend of regular season baseball is setting up to be a doozy.
