When it was announced that Joe Burrow would miss the rest of the 2023 NFL Season, it sent Cincinnati Bengals fans into a fret.
Burrow is the franchise’s star, and it seemed like they would assuredly miss the playoffs without him.
It appears that nobody told that to Jake Browning, who is starting in relief of Burrow.
Browning has significantly impacted the Bengals, as his on-field play has kept them within playoff contention.
He has also made a name for himself in the media with a recent response shared by James Palmer.
After being asked about his belief in aliens, Browning responded, “I don’t even care. I’m still trying to figure out earth.”
Reporter: “Do you believe in aliens?”
Jake Browning: “I don’t even care. I’m still trying to figure out earth.”
New favorite NFL player.

This response pleased Palmer, indicating that Browning is more than an on-field talent.
He has won over fans and reporters due to his honesty and humor, making him a more likable story.
At this point, whether the Bengals make the playoffs is irrelevant, at least in Browning’s eyes.
He has done well enough to seemingly secure himself a spot in the NFL, either as a backup to Burrow or a starter for another team.
Backup quarterbacks have been the story of the 2023 NFL season due to the number of injuries throughout the league.
It will be interesting to see how it all plays out and which teams will make it to the playoffs with a backup at the helm.
With upcoming matchups with the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cleveland Browns, Browning and the Bengals have two more chances to make their mark.
