The New York Jets entered their Thursday Night Football matchup with the Cleveland Browns with little to play for.
Seeing they were already eliminated from the playoffs, the Jets’ spirits seemed down in this game, as they fell 37-20.
This mentality translated into a postgame press conference, as Robert Saleh was asked why he wasn’t more angry about the loss.
As Saleh was quoted sharing in a clip from Jets Videos, he asked, “Do you want me to throw the podium on the floor?”

While Saleh had a slight smirk when he asked the question, it was clear that he did not want to respond.
Losing in blowout fashion is not a fun outcome for any coach or team, mainly when they are eliminated from playoff contention.
This Jets team and coaching staff seem like they are already ready for the 2024 season, hoping that Aaron Rodgers can come back with a vengeance from his Achilles injury.
If he doesn’t return on the timeline he is expecting, this team’s frustrations will likely continue.
The quarterback position has caused significant woes for the Jets throughout the season.
They are on their fourth starter of the year, which hasn’t allowed the offense to flow as consistently as they would have wanted.
This, too, has been the catalyst for the team’s attitude all season, the main reason the Jets are in their current position.
It will be interesting to see how this team bounces back in 2024, knowing they have a lot of work to do to be contenders in the AFC East.
