The Green Bay Packers entered the season with plenty of doubts.
Some weren’t as high on Jordan Love as their coaching staff was, and while he did get off to a strong start to the season, he also left a lot to be desired at times.
Fast forward to today, and he’s been one of the most consistent and overlooked quarterbacks in the league.
He put on a show in a must-win divisional matchup vs. the Minnesota Vikings, torching them for 256 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions, all while completing 24 of 33 passes for a 125.3 passer rating.
And now that he’s eligible to sign a contract extension, it seems like the fans have seen more than enough and would gladly accept the team signing him for as much money as they believe he’s worth.
Eleventy billion dollars.

I say he should hold out till after next season. This offseason he’ll get Daniel Jones money. Next year if he plays like this and the packers make a good run, he’ll get (maybe) around 50m a year…. maybe.

I would have to assume given that the #Packers technically have him through 2024 and still *could* tag him for 2025, a deal will most likely be around 3 years – $95-115 million range. Then the massive deal in 3 years. That’s my guess.

40-45 mill a year

It’s in the 35 a year range now, but can get to 45 with a strong finish and a incentive based deal

Love failed to impress early in his career.
He didn’t look like a legitimate NFL-caliber quarterback, and the sole fact that they took him in the first round was hard to explain to most people, especially considering the fact that they still had Aaron Rodgers on the team and playing at an MVP level.
Needless to say, the odds of going from back-to-back Hall of Famer quarterbacks to another one are quite slim, and we don’t want to get ahead of ourselves, so some skepticism is granted.
But Love has played as well as advertised, and with the Packers still knocking on the door of a postseason berth, it seems like he’s earned that contract extension already.
