The New York Jets struck gold in the 2022 NFL Draft.
They selected Garrett Wilson with the No. 10 overall pick, and despite quarterback woes in Year 1, he won Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Wilson was supposed to have Aaron Rodgers as his quarterback this season, but with Rodgers’ Achilles injury, it was back to the drawing board.
He still achieved over 1,000 yards this season, but judging by his recent comments, he is unhappy with the current state of the team.
In a quote provided by Rich Cimini, Wilson said that he doesn’t “know what the future holds” after his current contract.

While it seems that Wilson wants to help the Jets’ chances of righting the ship, he also wants to be realistic.
He doesn’t appear to want to commit to the Jets for the foreseeable future, especially if their losing ways continue.
Rodgers’ presence in the offense next year could swing his opinion, but Rodgers’ time in the NFL is waning.
He might only have one or two more years left, putting Wilson in an uncertain position regarding his future quarterback on the Jets.
For a team that entered 2023 with a lot of hope and anticipation, the Jets find themselves in murky waters.
Wilson is only under contract for two more seasons, with a fifth-year option on the docket.
Fans will be interested to see how this situation develops and how Wilson’s relationship with the Jets plays out during the offseason.
Can the Jets figure out a way how to get back to the playoffs in 2024, solving a lot of their primary issues?
