Lamar Jackson has been playing like the best player in the NFL throughout the 2023 NFL season and he’s the biggest reason why the Baltimore Ravens are considered the Super Bowl favorites.
After a couple of down years offensively, Jackson has been as efficient and deadly as ever under offensive coordinator Todd Monken.
Monken’s system has empowered Jackson as a passer, and the front office did a great job of giving him explosive weapons like Zay Flowers and Odell Beckham Jr.
Jackson looks well on his way to winning a second MVP award, and he was also named to the 2024 AFC Pro Bowl roster.
The accolades keep piling up for Jackson who has been laser-focused on capturing his first Super Bowl title.
Even his teammates have been wowed by Jackson and Roquon Smith expressed how happy he is to be playing alongside him versus against him via NFL Network.
“I’m just grateful that I’m playing with him and not against him, because I’d be scratching my head,” Smith said.

Like Jackson, Smith made the Pro Bowl roster and for good reason as he’s been an enforcer in the middle of the field for the Ravens’ defense.
However, even Smith couldn’t help but admit that he’d have a hard time trying to contain him if they were pitted against each other.
All joking aside, though, Smith made sure to praise Jackson for his focus and work ethic throughout the season.
Smith also called Jackson a great leader for the team, so it sounds like the quarterback is doing everything right both on and off the field.
