Heading into the final week of the 2023 NFL regular season, teams that are headed for the NFL playoffs are doing everything within their power to upgrade their rosters in an effort to make a deep run in the postseason with hopes of lifting the Vince Lombardi Trophy when is all said and done.
After asking the New York Jets to release him, veteran running back Dalvin Cook was given his wish and promptly cleared waivers in order to become a free agent with the ability to sign with a title contender.
There was a lot of speculation about where Cook would land after a disappointing stint with the Jets, as a few teams in the playoff picture could use a veteran of his caliber to help bolster their backfield.
The Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins, and Baltimore Ravens were all expected to show interest ahead of the postseason, with all three of these teams having a decent shot of winning the Super Bowl with or without Cook on their roster.
However, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, it appears that the Ravens were able to do enough to convince Cook to play for Baltimore, with the team heading into the playoffs as the top seed in the AFC.

Crazy that Dalvin Cook and Melvin Gordon are going to be on the same team fighting for RB3 snaps.
Would’ve called you crazy if you told me that a couple seasons ago.

Even though the Ravens lost running back J.K. Dobbins to a season-ending injury earlier in the 2023 campaign, the team has been able to stay competitive in the ground game with Gus Edwards, Justice Hill, and Melvin Gordon leading the way.
The addition of Cook makes arguably the best team in the league that much more stacked in the backfield ahead of the playoffs, only increasing their chances of winning it all.
