There have been a few storylines that have dominated the 2023 NFL Season.
Several teams have fired their head coaches, and there have been rumblings of several others after the season concludes.
One coach who has been consistently mentioned as being on the hot seat is Bill Belichick.
The New England Patriots season hasn’t provided the level of success that the organization has grown accustomed to, a potential reason for the team to consider a change.
While Belichick’s departure hasn’t been officially announced, many believe a change is coming.
Albert Breer recently appeared on the Dan Patrick Show, outlining his take on whether Belichick is coaching his last game with the Patriots.
“I think so. Now, you never know what could happen when Kraft gets into a room with Belichick next week. But I don’t think this is a decision you wake up on Monday morning and make,” Breer said.

As Breer mentions, the Patriots’ 2023 record is among their worst seasons in franchise history.
For a team that has seen so much success over the past 20-plus years, their downfall is something that not many expected.
Belichick might have a rich history of winning, but the NFL is still a “What have you done for me lately?” league, especially regarding head coaches.
Since the Patriots haven’t had much success after the departure of Tom Brady, Belichick’s time with the organization could be coming to a close.
There will be a lot of questions for this team to answer in 2024; with the biggest coming at the quarterback position, it might be best for the team to start fresh.
