The Jacksonville Jaguars were one of the hottest teams in the league just a couple of months ago, but they hit a huge wall and put their divisional and postseason hopes in jeopardy.
It wasn’t much of a coincidence to see that the offense struggled once standout WR Christian Kirk fell with an injury.
Now, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that the team is finally set to activate him off the Injured Reserve (IR) list ahead of Sunday’s must-win clash with the Tennessee Titans.
Sources: The #Jaguars are planning to activate standout WR Christian Kirk prior to Sunday’s showdown with the #Titans, taking him off Injured Reserve just a month after undergoing core muscle surgery.

Needless to say, that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s going to play, and he’s actually a game-time decision.
He’s just a month removed from having core muscle surgery, so the team might want to be extra careful with him.
Even if he plays, there’s a chance he’s out there mostly as a decoy or on a snap count, as they simply cannot afford to be without him in the postseason.
The Jaguars need to beat their divisional rivals to secure the AFC South Division title for the second year in a row.
Trevor Lawrence has also been quite banged up over the past month or so, even missing the first game of his career last week in the win over the Carolina Panthers.
Doug Pederson’s team has been up and down this season, but they’ve proven to be quite dangerous when they’re at full strength.
Hopefully, Kirk will be able to avoid any setbacks and pick up where he left off once he gets back on the field.
