The 2023 NFL season didn’t turn out the way the Atlanta Falcons might have expected coming into the year.
This team is loaded with young offensive talent, and many believed they could put it together, resulting in meaningful success.
However, their season proved to be a bit rocky, and they ended up making the playoffs.
Many fans wondered if Arthur Smith would be fired from his post after their tumultuous season.
Thankfully, the team seemed to share in the fan frustration.
As Ian Rapoport has recently reported, the team has officially fired Smith from his post.

This head coaching hole immediately creates a lot of questions for the Falcons and what this will mean for the team’s future.
While several questions are left to be answered, the team took the first step in the right direction if the fan response is any indication.
Very happy for Falcons fans rn

Fans, including those participating in fantasy football, seem ecstatic with Smith’s firing.
There was a lot of excitement surrounding Bijan Robinson, Kyle Pitts, and Drake London coming into the year.
However, with Smith’s decision-making in mind, that excitement quickly went away.
All three players were taken in the first round of their respective drafts, indicating their impressive prospect profiles.
If the Falcons get the right coach and quarterback signed for this team, there’s no telling what the Falcons will look like in 2024 and beyond.
The team must decide if drafting a quarterback is the correct move or if they will try to pivot to an available free agent.
