The Philadelphia Eagles don’t look like a playoff team right now.
They stumbled their way into the postseason, and it doesn’t seem like they stand a chance to get the job done.
The coaching staff looked desperate in the final month of the season, and replacing Sean Desai with Matt Patricia has only set their defense back.
With all the praise that HC Nick Sirianni drew in the past couple of years, this is kind of a surprise.
However, NFL analyst Craig Carton isn’t so sure about that, as he was never that impressed with Sirianni or his brains.
That’s why, talking on The Carton Show, he didn’t mince his words and went at full steam against the Eagles’ boss, calling him ‘stupid’ and blaming him for his team’s current status and struggles:
“Here’s the problem that you guys have to acknowledge: Nick Sirianni’s stupid,” Carton laughingly said. Nick Sirianni might be the dumbest human being to be on an NFL sideline come mid-January. That is going to cost the Philadelphia Eagles.”

Carton believes that Sirianni will end up costing the Eagles their season, and it’s hard to argue with that statement at this point.
Decision-making and playcalling have been two major issues late in the campaign, and clock management has been even worse.
The Eagles look like a team that has lost all faith in themselves, their teammates, and their coaches; their body language is one of a team that knows it can be beaten.
Now, they’re going to travel to Raymond James Stadium to face a stout Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense that could give them plenty of trouble, and what once seemed like a promising campaign could come to an early end after barely making the playoffs.
