The Buffalo Bills headed into their regular-season finale against the division-rival Miami Dolphins with the AFC East crown on the line, which would put them in the No. 2 spot, resulting in a matchup with the seventh-seeded Pittsburgh Steelers to get the NFL playoffs underway during Wild Card Weekend.
Even though the Dolphins looked like they were going to come out on top against the Bills, Josh Allen and company were able to come out with the win and set up the matchup with the Steelers in the postseason.
Unfortunately, the win over the Dolphins seemed to come with a cost, with wide receiver Gabe Davis going down with an injury that would seemingly jeopardize his status for the game against the Steelers next week.
On Monday, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Bills got a favorable status update on Davis, who apparently suffered a PCL sprain, which isn’t considered serious.
Sources: #Bills standout WR Gabe Davis suffered a PCL sprain that is not considered major. His status is TBD, but he has not been ruled out of anything just yet. Buffalo’s big-play WR got some solid news.

Even though this is a positive injury update on Davis, his status for Wild Card Weekend remains uncertain moving forward.
Star wide receiver Stefon Diggs is the No. 1 option for Allen downfield, but Davis does make this passing attack that much more dynamic, and his absence will be felt if he’s ultimately ruled out for the playoff showdown against the Steelers.
Currently, the Bills are heavy favorites to come out on top in this matchup with the Steelers, as Pittsburgh barely got into the playoffs and has struggled offensively all season long, so Davis might be able to miss this game.
