The NFL’s regular season has officially wrapped up.
Teams now know if they have made the playoffs or their season has ended.
For the teams that have concluded their season, they can start focusing on the 2024 campaign, hoping to get a leg up on scouting potential draft picks and starting their search for a new head coach.
The Dallas Cowboys are hosting a playoff game during Wild Card weekend and will have an opportunity to host another if they win.
While they are still preparing for the game, defensive coordinator Dan Quinn has been mentioned in the head coaching search, per Jordan Schultz.
In a recently-shared Twitter from Schultz, he said, “He is going to get multiple job requests, multiple interviews, because he is that good.”
#Cowboys DC Dan Quinn’s name is heating up among league circles. He will be one of the most sought after HC candidates in this cycle.

Schultz also compared Quinn to DeMeco Ryans, the head coach of the Houston Texans.
Ryans brought the team to the playoffs in his first year as their head coach, and Quinn possesses a similar ceiling, as Schultz indicates.
When thinking about potential jobs for Quinn, Schultz immediately brought up the Los Angeles Chargers.
He indicated that the team is interested in interviewing him, and more teams will quickly follow suit.
This is what happens in the NFL, especially for coaches that are in a winning situation.
While coordinators taking over head coaching jobs isn’t always a seamless transition, their experience in a playoff organization could go a long way for a bottom-feeding team.
Assuming Quinn leaves the Cowboys after this season, what team makes the most sense for him to join?
