The Philadelphia Eagles were seen as one of the teams to watch heading into the regular season.
They were coming off a Super Bowl appearance and were hoping to avenge their loss this year.
After starting the year with a 10-1 record, it seemed like the Eagles were on track to run through the NFC for a second straight season.
However, things quickly started to unravel for this team, as they finished the season with an 11-6 record, winning just one more game after their strong start.
This limp into the postseason has left many fans and analysts frustrated, including Chris Broussard.
Broussard said that he is “out on the Eagles” in a recent segment of “First Things First.”

He picked them to win the Super Bowl heading into the year, a thought process he abandoned.
Broussard doesn’t believe the Eagles can keep up when considering the strength of other NFC teams, such as the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions.
Their secondary has been banged up throughout the year, and Jalen Hurts hasn’t recaptured the magic from his MVP-caliber season in 2023.
With all of this in mind, there is a reason why they play the games.
A team like the Eagles, which is laden with veterans, especially those with playoff experience, could find a way to get hot at the right time.
It doesn’t matter how a team performs heading into the playoffs, but that they get there in the first place.
Will they find a way to prove Broussard’s prediction wrong?
