Mike Vrabel is no longer the head coach of the Tennessee Titans after the two sides reportedly parted ways on Tuesday after six seasons together.
So while the Titans begin their search for a new head coach, Vrabel will undoubtedly be one of the most sought-after coaching candidates for other teams given his solid resume.
One destination that continues to pop up for Vrabel as a possible head coach is the team where he played eight of his 14 NFL seasons: The New England Patriots, per Bleacher Report’s Jordan Schultz.
“Mike Vrable to the Patriots watch is on,” Schultz said.

Vrabel to the Patriots could only happen, of course, if New England fired or traded Bill Belichick.
Belichick’s future reportedly won’t be decided for some time, meaning Vrabel will get the opportunity to look around at the other vacancies if he doesn’t want to wait around to see what the Patriots do with his old coach.
Vrabel’s connection to New England and Belichick would be an incredible full-circle moment for Vrabel and the franchise.
The Patriots won three Super Bowls during Vrabel’s time with the team, and Vrabel proved himself during his time with the Titans.
For a team that’s had the same identity for the past quarter-century, it would be a bit easier to pitch a familiar face to the fanbase than a brand-new regime with no ties to the team.
But again, this is all hypothetical and would require the Patriots to make a move on from Belichick before anything could happen.
Meanwhile, the rest of the NFL will begin the process of interviewing and vetting the next wave of head coaching hirings.
