The 2024 MLB season will start with two NL West powerhouses looking to establish their dominance.
The Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres will travel to South Korea to play the Seoul Opening Series, which will feature games on Wednesday, March 20 and Thursday, March 21.
Those games will officially open the 2024 schedule.
According to Dodgers insider Eric Stephen, the time of the games will be rather uncomfortable, though.
“MLB game start times have been finalized. Both Dodgers-Padres games in South Korea start at 3:05 a.m. PT. Domestic opening day at Dodger Stadium vs. Cardinals is a 1:10 p.m. start on Thursday, March 28. End of that series is on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball,” he tweeted.

The games in Korea will be at 7:05 p.m. local time, which is the most regular and convenient time for a night ballgame.
Unfortunately, Dodgers and Padres fans who want to watch the start of the season will have to pull an all-nighter or wake up very, very early.
Such is the price for helping grow the game internationally.
The Dodgers are one of the best teams in baseball, if not the best, after a series of high-impact acquisitions.
They brought in Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tyler Glasnow, Manuel Margot, Teoscar Hernandez, and several others to an already strong core.
The Padres appear to be heading in the opposite direction, though.
They want to cut payroll and did it by shedding Juan Soto’s salary via trade.
He was flipped to the Yankees for prospects and pitcher Michael King.
The Padres still have a strong core so they can be competitive, though.
Sleeping on them would be a mistake.
