New England Patriots fans woke up Thursday morning to the confirmation of many rumors that have circulated throughout the offseason.
Bill Belichick is officially out as their head coach, ending his historic tenure with the team.
With this in mind, many likely figured this was the end of Belichick’s coaching career, especially given his age of 71.
However, according to Adam Schefter’s report, that does not appear valid.
Schefter says that Belichick intends to keep coaching and that the Patriots were not the final destination in his NFL journey.
Several teams could reach out to Belichick in the offseason, including the Atlanta Falcons, per Schefter.
Bill Belichick will want to continue coaching and is expected to draw interest from at least some of the other seven NFL teams that currently have head coach vacancies, quite possibly the Atlanta Falcons, per league sources.

The Falcons recently fired Arthur Smith after the season did not go according to plan.
If the Falcons are Belichick’s preferred destination, there are a lot of pre-existing factors that could help this team be successful in 2024.
For one, the Falcons have some of the brightest young skill-position players of any team in the NFL.
They have drafted Kyle Pitts, Drake London, and Bijan Robinson in the past three years.
While these players have sometimes shown flashes, their quarterback situation has prevented them from being fully unlocked.
Many believe that Smith’s coaching prohibited this team from reaching its fullest potential.
If the team adds a quarterback in free agency or the draft, this offense could finally start clicking the way the front office intended.
Adding Belichick into the mix can’t hurt, especially since the team has also made significant investments on the defensive side of the ball over the past year.
