The Cleveland Browns have dealt with injuries all season and that didn’t seem to stop for their wildcard match with the Houston Texans on Saturday.
Cleveland locked up the No. 5 seed in the AFC after a win over the New York Jets in Week 17 before the Browns sat most of their starters for Week 18.
Even with extra time to heal, some previously injured Browns players couldn’t get healthy in time for the game after the Browns ruled out safety Grant Delpit (groin), kicker Dustin Hopkins (left hamstring) and wide receiver Cedric Tillman (concussion), per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Browns ruled out S Grant Delpit (groin), K Dustin Hopkins (left hamstring) and WR Cedric Tillman (concussion) for Saturday’s wild-card game vs. the Texans. Browns’ CB Denzel Ward is questionable due to a knee injury he suffered today in practice.

Delpit was a long shot to play after the team activated him off injured reserve this week from a groin injury he suffered in Week 13.
He missed the past four games for Cleveland, including the Week 16 match against the Texans.
The hope for Cleveland is that Delpit will be able to play in the divisional round if the Browns win this weekend.
Backup safety D’Anthony Bell will resume the starting role once more in Delpit’s absence.
Hopkins missed the past two games with his hamstring injury and was replaced by Riley Patterson at kicker.
Tillman, a 2023 third-round pick out of Tennessee, suffered a concussion in Week 18 and did not clear the league’s concussion protocol.
Cleveland now takes on a Houston squad that will have C.J. Stroud under center after the Browns faced Case Keenum and Davis Mills back in Week 16.
It’ll be a different match for both sides in this way, with a game against the No. 1-seeded Baltimore Ravens on the line in the divisional round.
