Ever since Mike McDaniel took over the Miami Dolphins, they’ve had one of the best — if not the best — offenses in the National Football League.
Of course, it shouldn’t be much of a coincidence to see that it also happened since Tyreek Hill took his talents to South Beach.
Hill has had the two best seasons of his career with the Dolphins, posting back-to-back career highs.
He was even on the verge of becoming the first-ever receiver to hit the 2,000-yard mark, but injuries late in the campaign got in the way.
That’s why he wanted to give credit where it was due, and took to Twitter to praise Dolphins WR coach and former legendary WR Wes Welker for his job.
Wes Welker need a job interview , Underrated coach
— Ty Hill (@cheetah) January 12, 2024
Hill claimed that Welker is an underrated coach, adding that he should get a job interview now.
Maybe he should pump the brakes a little and wait until the former New England Patriots standout gets a little more experience, perhaps serving as the team’s offensive coordinator if Frank Smith leaves, as he should also be one of the next in line to get a head coaching opportunity somewhere else.
Throughout the course of his career, Welker was one of the most dominant, efficient, and productive wide receivers in the game, so it’s not surprising to see Hill being at his best after getting to learn a thing or two from him.
Who knows?
Maybe, he’ll get the chance to keep climbing the head coaching ladder at some point in the future.
