As arguably the most popular team in the NFL, which has adopted the nickname “America’s Team,” the pressure can be tremendous for the Dallas Cowboys to be successful in the NFL playoffs, especially when the team is as talented as it is on both sides of the football like it is this season.
With the Cowboys being as popular as they are as an NFL franchise, the team gets a lot of media attention, good and bad, on a regular basis, which is kicked into high gear when the postseason rolls around.
This year is no different, with admitted diehard Cowboys fan Skip Bayless of FOX Sports commenting on what he expects from his team heading into the postseason, starting with the matchup against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
Bayless, who talked about the Cowboys on his show, wants to see at least two playoff wins from head coach Mike McCarthy or he thinks the veteran head coach should be fired during the NFL offseason.
The absolute LEAST I need to see from Mike McCarthy is two playoff wins. If not, he needs to go.

So, according to Bayless, nothing short of an appearance in the NFC Championship Game will suffice in order for McCarthy to keep his job as head coach of the Cowboys.
Even though Bayless is overly harsh when demanding certain things from the Cowboys, he might be right with this one, as McCarthy’s job status has been in question ever since he took the job.
A loss to his former team or in the second round of the playoffs would be potentially devastating for McCarthy and his chances of keeping his job, especially with so many top-tier coaches currently available on the open market.
