The Miami Dolphins were quickly knocked out of the postseason by the Kansas City Chiefs this week after only scoring one touchdown in the 26-7 loss.
It was a frustrating end to what looked like a good season after Miami finished with the second-best scoring offense in the league, but the Dolphins floundered toward the end of the year – especially against teams with winning records.
What comes next for the Dolphins will be questions – again – about what to do with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa after the team picked up his fifth-year option for this upcoming season but could sign him to a contract extension in the offseason.
While Tagovailoa more than likely will remain with the team – at least for this next season – NFL wide receiver Willie Snead posted on social media that he thinks the team will be better if their quarterback stopped acting “soft.”
The Dolphins will be good when Tua stop acting soft AF

It’s unclear what Snead meant by this, but Tagovailoa didn’t look very good for the second consecutive week.
Although he led the league in passing yards to finish the regular season, Tagovailoa threw for fewer than 200 passing yards in each of his past two games – first against the Buffalo Bills in Week 18 and then against the Chiefs in the wild card match – and just one touchdown in each contest as well with three total interceptions.
That’s not going to cut it when your team is stacked with offensive weapons like Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, De’Von Achane, and an offensive-minded head coach in Mike McDaniel.
While the team looked good for most of the season, Tagovailoa’s decline by the end of the year certainly played a role in how Miami finished it’s 2023 campaign.
