A lot is riding on Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love’s playoff debut against the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC wild card round.
Not only is Love looking to send his team to the divisional round of the playoffs for the first time since 2021, but he’d be the first quarterback not named Aaron Rodgers or Brett Favre to do so since 1982.
He can make a little extra money with a win over the Cowboys as well.
Love will earn a $500,000 bonus on his yearly salary if he can win Sunday’s playoff game, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Packers’ quarterback Jordan Love has an added $500,000 riding on today’s game. His contract contains a $500,000 escalator for his 2024 base salary if Green Bay can beat Dallas in today’s super wild-card matchup.

Love heads into the playoffs on quite a hot streak after the Packers won their final three games of the season to make the playoffs as the No. 7 seed.
The young quarterback himself is playing well with no interceptions during that stretch and making life easy for his skill position players, most of whom are first- or second-year players.
The matchup with the Cowboys is tough, though, considering Dallas’ defensive prowess this season with Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence on the defensive line and cornerbacks Stephon Gilmore and DaRon Bland patrolling the secondary.
If Love and the Packers win, they’ll be the worst seed left in the NFC field and head to San Francisco to face the No. 1-seeded 49ers.
But for now, Love and company will need to focus on the game at hand – one that could earn the quarterback some more money and build on his young but promising legacy in Green Bay.
