With some severe weather forcing the NFL to change its plans regarding the playoff game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium, two games will be played on Monday rather than only the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosting the Philadelphia Eagles.
Fortunately for the league, this was an easy fix, with a game already set to be played on Monday to stretch out Wild Card Weekend, but it doesn’t mean there still won’t be some harsh conditions for the Bills and Steelers to deal with in Buffalo tomorrow.
New York governor Kathy Hochul urged the league to move the game to a different day to avoid playing in such harsh conditions, which obviously the NFL did, but she still encourages caution despite there being a “far better” situation on Monday because conditions won’t be “life-threatening” when the game gets underway, according to Katherine Fitzgerald.
NYS Gov. Kathy Hochul says “at game time tomorrow” there will still be freezing conditions, but a “far better dynamic than we would have today… conditions won’t be life-threatening.”

Clearly, this was the right move by the NFL, as it will make for safer conditions as well as a potentially better playoff game in Buffalo, which all football fans are hoping for on Monday.
Even though the day has changed along with the projected conditions for this game, the Bills are still heavily favored to come out on top in this playoff game and advance to the second round.
The Bills have arguably the best all-around team coming into this matchup and will look to impose their will against a Steelers team that will try to stay alive without their best player, as T.J. Watt will miss this game in Buffalo due to a knee injury.
