The Miami Dolphins headed into Kansas City on Saturday, hoping to win in the frigid weather.
This was one of the coldest games in NFL history, and for a Florida-based team, this might have been their worst nightmare.
Despite their best efforts, they fell short, losing 26-7 to what many had believed was an inferior Chiefs team.
One of the most prominent narratives in the Dolphins’ loss was the play of Tua Tagovailoa.
Tagovailoa had put together a solid season to this point, but when his team needed him most, he could not help will them to a victory.
Craig Carton discussed this in a recent segment of this show, saying that Tagovailoa was “terrible in this game.”
“Tua was terrible in this game. Frankly, I don’t think the weather had anything to do with it. They just got manhandled by a better team,” Carton said.

The Dolphins had a lot of optimism throughout the year.
Many believed that they would be one of the teams to contend for the Super Bowl, but with this loss, they are on to the next season.
This loss brings up an interesting point that the organization will have to think a lot about in the offseason.
On one hand, Tagovailoa played well for a large chunk of the season and was sometimes in the MVP conversation.
On the other, if he continues to be unable to win the big games for the Dolphins, they might need to look elsewhere at the position.
