The New York Mets took advantage of the start of the window to sign international free agents to secure one of their top targets.
They are signing someone with incredibly good genes to play baseball.
“The Mets have signed Vladi Miguel Guerrero, via multiple reports. He is the half-brother of Vladdy Jr. and son of Hall of Famer Vlad Sr,,” FOX Sports: MLB tweeted.

Vladi Miguel is the son of National Baseball Hall of Famer Vladimir Guerrero, who won an AL MVP award and retired with nine All-Star berths, a .318 batting average, and 449 career home runs.
He is also the half-brother of former AL MVP candidate Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
Baseball, you could say, runs through his veins.
Even though Guerrero wasn’t included in MLB Pipeline’s list of top 50 prospects for the 2024 signing period, he is a quality young player whose calling card is, much like his father, power.
He hits from the left side.
With the Mets, he will be afforded all the time he need to hone the rest of his skills: there is no sense of urgency to have him ready to play in the bigs, so he can develop at his pace.
The Mets have been focusing on improving the quality of their farm system since last year’s deadline, and have achieved amazing results.
Guerrero Sr. has a third son in affiliate baseball, named Pablo, so he already has three sons signed to MLB organizations.
Guerrero Jr. now has some company in professional baseball, and he would love nothing more than to see his brothers reach The Show sometime in the not-so-distant future.
