The Philadelphia Eagles fell to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in blowout fashion on Monday Night Football.
While many storylines existed coming into this game, one prevailing theme was regarding Nick Sirianni’s future with the team.
Sirianni has a great relationship with many of his players, but his seat has gotten warm lately.
There was a widespread belief that Sirianni would get fired if the Eagles lost this game.
Jalen Hurts was asked if he wanted Sirianni back next year in a postgame presser shared via the NFL on CBS.
Hurts responded, “I didn’t know he was going anywhere.”

Whether Hurts was being facetious remains to be seen.
The amount of buzz surrounding Sirianni leading up to this week was substantial, but his comments might have been genuine if Hurts didn’t hear any of it.
It will be interesting to see what happens next for the Eagles as they undergo several changes heading into 2024.
One such change will be in their offensive line room, as Jason Kelce has officially announced his retirement.
If it is Sirianni or another head coach, someone will have to help turn this team around now that the roster will look significantly different.
The Eagles have been atop the NFC for several years, but this Wild Card loss might have opened some eyes at the organization.
With the Buccaneers’ win, a change of guard could be coming for this team, which, unfortunately for Sirianni, could occur in the head coach role to kick things off for the future.
