After leading the Philadelphia Eagles to the Super Bowl last year, quarterback Jalen Hurts was starting to get a lot of buzz as a potential superstar in the NFL, with a very bright future ahead as the new face of the storied franchise.
Hurts seemed to be the real deal, and he could do virtually anything on the football field while showing the kind of spirit that can lead teams to greatness while keeping the franchise competitive every single year.
Following an epic playoff collapse against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday, Hurts is starting to get looked at a bit differently, and so is head coach Nick Sirianni, who may very well be on the hot seat heading into the NFL offseason.
With the Eagles’ season now officially over, with the Buccaneers moving on to face the Detroit Lions on the road this weekend, Hurts has been exposed, according to Emmanuel Acho of FOX Sports via Speak On FS1.
“Jalen Hurts got exposed this year. He’s not who we thought he was,” Acho said.

Unlike last season’s run to the Super Bowl, this year, Hurts wasn’t the game-changing talent that many became accustomed to seeing on a weekly basis in Philadelphia, as he couldn’t lead this team to wins like he did last year.
With Hurts showing some fairly significant flaws in his game and Sirianni potentially having lost the locker room, it’ll be interesting to see what the Eagles brass does during the NFL offseason, as there could be some drastic changes in Philadelphia in an effort to right the ship before things get out of hand.
