The Miami Marlins can smell a postseason berth.
Despite a few unfortunate rain events over the past week, they continue to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Miami had to play a doubleheader on Wednesday and had a game suspended on Thursday.
Yet, they did not let them stop them from finding ways to win games.
The Marlins trailed, 3-0, on Friday against the Pittsburgh Pirates at the end of seven innings.
But, they were able to fight back and win the game, 4-3.
According to OptaSTATS, the Marlins recorded their sixth win of the season when trailing by 3+ runs at the end of seven innings.

Having these comeback wins is what has kept the Marlins’ season alive.
Even though they do not have the most talented roster, they have played well all season.
Miami knew this final series with the Pirates was one that they needed to win.
After taking game one they have a 1.5-game lead over the Chicago Cubs for the final Wild Card spot.
Miami is one win and one Cubs loss away from clinching a playoff spot.
Also, the suspended game for Miami can be picked up on Monday if necessary.
The Marlins may not have the most talented roster in the sport, but they play well together.
It will be interesting to see if they can make some noise in the postseason if they can get in.
