The Pittsburgh Steelers fought hard but could not beat the Buffalo Bills on Wild Card weekend.
This was a disappointing game for them, mainly because they worked diligently to secure a spot in the playoffs.
As coaches usually do after games, Mike Tomlin appeared in front of reporters to discuss the loss.
Things seemed to be going smoothly until a reporter asked him about his future with the team.
He almost immediately left the podium, seemingly refusing to answer that or any additional questions.
At the time, fans took this as a sign that he would potentially be moving on from the Steelers in 2024.
However, as Ian Rapoport has recently highlighted, that is not the case.
Tomlin is reportedly slated to return to the Steelers next year, returning for at least one season.
“He informed his team, don’t worry about the rumors, don’t worry about whatever you read. He does plan on coming back,” Rapoport said.

This is a sigh of relief for Steelers fans, who expressed concern for him potentially leaving after the press conference.
Tomlin has instituted a winning culture throughout his time in Pittsburgh, something he would like to continue in the coming seasons.
Had he left for another team, he would not only have to start over somewhere else but also leave behind a team that many see as unfinished.
The Steelers made the playoffs despite having injuries and uncertainty at the quarterback position.
Ben Roethlisberger left a massive hole in the position, which the organization has struggled to fill.
Tomlin could see this Steelers roster as one that he would like to fix and hopefully bring back to the Super Bowl before he ends his time with the organization.
