The Philadelphia Phillies have a storied history of having many great players.
We have seen them win MVP awards and plenty of other regular-season awards.
But, one player who stands out in the Phillies’ history is their all-time leading hitter, Jimmy Rollins.
He had some monumental seasons as a Phillie but the one that stands out the most is his 2007 season.
Rollins won the 2007 NL MVP after an incredible season.
As noted by MLB Network on Twitter, Rollins played all 162 games that year and had an incredible 20/20/20 season.

20 doubles, 20 triples, 20 home runs, is something we rarely see in baseball.
There are almost no players that can even come close to 20 triples in a season.
Last season, Bobby Witt Jr. led MLB in triples with 11.
It just goes to show that Rollins was an elite power/speed threat in his prime.
His 88 extra-base hits that year were the second most all-time by a shortstop in one year.
To add on, Rollins stole 41 bases in 2007 and added 139 runs scored.
This season by Rollins is being brought up because he is on the ballot to make the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Comparing Rollins’ stats to other shortstops, there is no question he should find himself in Cooperstown.
He won one MVP, along with making three All-Star teams and winning four Gold Gloves.
Also, he has 2,455 career hits which is good for eighth all-time amongst shortstops.
Rollins is not expected to make the Hall of Fame this year.
But, he has all the numbers necessary to be inducted sooner than later.
