Usually, an athlete talented enough to make it to the NFL and potentially have a long career on the professional level doesn’t aspire to do anything outside of football other than a few off-the-field ventures like investments and/or endorsements.
It appears that running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire of the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs aspires to do much more than lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy and have a successful playing career in the NFL.
Edwards-Helaire may no longer be the lead back for the Chiefs, as he now shares the backfield in Kansas City with Isiah Pacheco, but he’s still got a smile on his face from ear to ear as he has another goal in mind off the field.
Apparently, Edwards-Helaire is attending nursing school, following in the footsteps of his mother, according to Aaron Ladd of KSHB 41 News.

This is an admirable off-the-field venture for Edwards-Helaire, which is clearly something he’s been wanting to do for a long time, and he won’t let the rigors of being a professional football player get in the way of pursuing this dream.
Along with still attending nursing school, Edwards-Helaire and the Chiefs will be preparing for their biggest game of the season, with the team traveling to Highmark Stadium to take on Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.
The veteran running back and the Chiefs will be underdogs heading into the second round of the NFL playoffs against a hungry and determined Bills team looking to avenge postseason losses to Kansas City.
