The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had some ups and downs this season, but they’re no fluke.
They were the rightful winners of the NFC South Division and the kind of sneaky team that could bode a lot of trouble if overlooked.
Even if the Philadelphia Eagles shot themselves in the foot over and over and seemed to give up mid-game, the Bucs made sure to take care of business.
However, Detroit Lions safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson still isn’t so sure about their quarterback.
He took a massive shot at Baker Mayfield by stating that they have a great group with Russell Gage, Mike Evans, and Chris Godwin, so they would be a big threat if they had a good QB.
Mayfield hit back at him by letting him know that Gage hadn’t played a single snap this season, urging him to watch more film.
That’s why former college teammate Sterling Shepard believes Gardner-Johnson could be in for a tough time in this game
“Me playing with Baker Mayfield in college, this is what he feeds off of. I do feel like they could pull the upset,” Shepard said.

Talking on The Carton Show, he stated that this is the kind of thing that Mayfield feeds off, adding that he’s more than capable of pulling off the upset:
Mayfield had the best season of his career.
He threw for over 4,000 yards with 28 touchdowns.
The Detroit Lions are rightfully favored ahead of this matchup, but they’re not in a position to overlook Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
