It’s prospects season in MLB.
Many of the most famous publications are publishing their top prospects list: Baseball America, FanGraphs, Baseball Prospectus, The Athletic, ESPN, and many more.
You can go ahead and add MLB Pipeline to that mix, too.
Speaking of MLB Pipeline, their experts recently published the list of the top left-handed pitching prospects in the league.
The San Francisco Giants made the top of the list, represented by Kyle Harrison.

Harrison topped Toronto Blue Jays’ star prospect Ricky Tiedemann and other talented southpaws like Robby Snelling, Noah Schultz, and Anthony Solometo.
Harrison made his MLB debut in 2023 after some impressive strikeout numbers in Triple-A.
In the majors, he registered a 4.15 ERA in seven starts and 34.2 innings.
He did, however, have some issues with the long ball, conceding 2.08 per nine innings.
That’s insanely high, but he is young, talented, and improving: the Giants are willing to let him learn to command his pitches better with time.
Command and control are the only things between Harrison and being an All-Star one day.
In Triple-A, he walked 6.58 hitters per nine innings, a well below-average rate that complicated things and put too many baserunners on.
He was often saved, however, by his strikeout brilliance.
Few pitchers in baseball, lefties or righties, can strike out more players than Harrison.
He punched out 105 in Triple-A, in 65.2 innings.
Then, in MLB, he fanned 35 in 34.2 frames.
His upper-90s fastball is just too hard to hit, and he complements that with a solid slider and a developing changeup.
With more reps and consistency, Harrison could be an ace one day.
The Giants just need to have some patience and good coaching.
